Well I''m back from Veligandu Island now, and I can truly say that the recent upgrade of the Island has certainly made a stunning difference, and is now definetly one of the most luxurious destinations to head for in the Maldives.
Only a 25 minute seaplane journey from Male Airport, and a fantastic experience to kick off the holiday, below you'll find a link to photos of the island, hope you like them!
The Island called Veligandu really is a five star resort, and in 2008, had a refurb, and now contains lots of Water Bungalows, complete with jacuzzi's - this being a massive improvement, but one which will enhance the island's reputation as one of the best in the Maldives!
